More to Come…

Good evening everyone! Happy Tuesday to you! Tomorrow is humpday, yippee!! I just love when the weeks fly by! πŸ™‚

Today was a crazy busy day at work, as usual but after I had exciting plans to get my hair cut. (finalllllly!) You know you are too busy when your fiance has to make your hair appointments for you because “dont you think it’s been a little too long since you’ve gotten your hair cut, mariel?…like maybe even just a trim?” Yeah…it’d been that long…whoops.

Anyway, Justin made me the appointment, and I showed up! And boy am I glad I did! AJ from The Roose did such a great job…and was super nice to boot! The salon is locally owned and operated and they also do manis, pedis and facials! Since I am a bride-to-be I’m definitley coming back for a facial! And I even think they are running a 50% off special right now (for facials!) I think that’s reason enough for me…if I do say so myself Anyway, I won’t be posting a picture of my haircut becuase I really only got a trim, so you can’t even tell but I feel better about my hair, if ya know what I mean! Funny how sometimes it’s just the little things that brighten your day!

Ok, moving on! I did end up going for my run the other day…pounded out a 4 mile run and felt pretty good the entire time. Apparently my trick of not actually setting a mile goal but just seeing how far my body would take me was a good one…and speaking of runs, guess what I got in the mail today?

My Garmin Forerunner 110! Yippee!

It fits perfectly on my wrist and so far, it works great! (ya know in the time I’ve charged it, and set the settings…ha!) But I’m so very excited to take my first run outside with it. Looks like tomorrow isn’t going to work as I have to be at work super early, but Thursday morning is looking like a great morning to try it out. The weather here in Phoenix in the mornings around 6 am is just perfect for outdoor running….so stay tuned! Once I run a few times outdoors with it and complete The Moon Valley Grasshopper Bridge 5K on Saturday I’ll do a full review!

In other fun news, I won a giveaway! Emily, who blogs over at Emily In Progress held a giveaway for Fit Frappe…which is a protein drink mix. I got 5 different flavors and I’m super excited to try them. You can drink them blended, iced or hot – whatever floats your boat at the time.

I’mΒ most excited to try the Espresso flavor (mmmm coffee)…in fact I think I’ll make that iced or maybe blended tomorrow morning…all you do is add water! From Emily’s review, she thought they were tasty so I’m excited to give them a whirl…(hahah no blender pun intended) Full review of Fit Frappe to come soon!

Well now that I’ve shared many random thoughts for the day, and I’ve realized that most of my thoughts ended with ‘more to come’ why not share another ‘more to come’ scenario?…I believe awhile back I mentioned that we were under contract on a home, no? Well….if all goes well, we will be closing on said home next week! Yes, you heard that correctly…next week! Friday, we go for a walk through to see all of the beautiful finishes that we picked out! I CAN NOT WAIT! And if there are no financing/title bumps in the road we should be signing our closing papers days no probabaly hours before I hop on a plane to NYC for a work/fun trip! SO NUTS! If you would have told me a year ago that Justin and I would be homeowners within a year I would have spit my drink out in your face…that is, of course, if I were drinking something at the time! πŸ™‚

So to the good stuff, pictures of said house you ask? Well since we haven’t even seen the darn thing finished all I can provide are a few teasers…but here you go! I’ll post the whole 9 yards once its A. finished and B. actually ours! Everyone cross your fingers and toes for us! πŸ™‚

Mocha kitchen cabinets, anyone?

Stay tuned, g’nite!
